B.Tech CSBS (Computer Science and Business Systems)

B.Tech CSBS (Computer Science and Business Systems) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree program that combines computer science and business systems to prepare students for careers in technology and business.

Graphic Era has launched a collaboration with TCS (one of the leading companies in the computer science and business systems industry) for its B.Tech CSBS program. With most of the CSBS students getting internships and being placed, the collaboration has benefitted both organisations greatly. The collaboration with TCS has not only enabled Graphic Era to establish itself as a leading institution in the field of computer science and business systems, but it has also provided students with access to cutting-edge modern technology and opportunities. The collaboration has allowed Graphic Era to integrate TCS’s latest technologies and tools into its curriculum, which enables students to gain a competitive edge in the industry. Students are provided with opportunities to work on live projects using TCS’s state-of-the-art tools and technologies, which helps them to develop practical skills that are highly valued in the industry. Additionally, the collaboration has also led to the establishment of research and development centres at the university, which provides students with the opportunity to work on research projects in collaboration with TCS’s research teams. The collaboration with TCS has opened up a world of opportunities for students at Graphic Era, and has helped to establish the university as a leading institution in the field of computer science and business systems.

Curriculum:

The University’s B.Tech (CSBS) curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science concepts, along with an understanding of business processes and management principles. The program is divided into eight semesters. The early semesters lay the foundation for the program and cover topics such as programming fundamentals, digital systems, mathematics, and business communication. They continue to build on the fundamentals and cover topics such as data structures, discrete mathematics, computer organisation and architecture, and business economics. They also focus on software development and cover topics such as programming languages, software engineering, database management systems, and financial accounting. Finally they delve deeper into computer science and covers topics such as computer networks, operating systems, algorithms, and human-computer interaction. The later semesters introduce students to business systems and cover topics such as business analytics, organisational behaviour, operations management, and marketing management. They continue to build on business systems and cover topics such as supply chain management, financial management, business intelligence, and e-commerce. They also provide students with an opportunity to specialise in an area of their choice, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or cybersecurity. The final semester is devoted to a capstone project that allows students to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout the program to a real-world problem. In addition to classroom instruction, B.Tech CSBS also includes lab and field work components. Students are required to complete several lab assignments and projects throughout the program, which provide hands-on experience in programming, software development, and data analysis. They are also required to complete a summer internship in a business organisation, which provides them with exposure to real-world business processes and operations.
