Dr. Pushpendra Kumar is working as Associate Professor in the department of Aerospace Engineering, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. He received his Ph.D. degree in automatic control from University of Lille, France, which was funded by the European project WEASTFLOWS. During his PhD, he conducted research in the area of system of systems (SoS) modeling and its application to the intelligent transportation system (ITS); in addition, he provided deliverables for the project Weastflows dedicated to ICT tools for sustainable logistics in Europe. He is also having two years of postdoc research experience from the CNRS laboratory CRIStAL in France, the postdoc research was funded by the two French projects in the area of mobile robotics. He obtained his M. Tech. degree in CAD/CAM and Robotics from IIT Roorkee and B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from U.P. Technical University, India.
Dr. Kumar is having more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. He also taught many courses to postgraduate students of International Master in Robotics and Transportation (MRT) program at Polytech Lille, France. He has supervised two PhD theses and several UG and PG projects. He is reviewer of many reputed journals including IEEE Access, Cell Reports Physical Science, Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, and reputed IEEE conferences CoDIT, ECC, ROBIO, SoSE, etc. He is a visiting researcher at University of Lille, France. Dr. Kumar delivered expert talks at University of Yaounde Cameroon, University of Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC) Mexico, and NIT Jamshedpur. He has published more than 50 research papers in international conferences and reputed journals including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation system, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Systems Men and Cybernetics, etc. His research interests include Dynamic modeling, simulation, control and fault diagnosis of complex multi-domain physical systems with applications to robotics, transportation and mechatronic systems.
