Dr. Amit Kumar is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He worked as an Associate Professor and Foreign Faculty at Ningxia Normal University (NXNU), Guyuan, Ningxia, China from September 2019-2023. He has a total of 14 years of experience in the field of academics, industry, and research. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), with specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. His research expertise lies in E-learning, Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), Learner Modeling, Learning Styles, Pedagogy development, machine learning, and natural language processing.
In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Kumar is committed to imparting knowledge and inspiring the next generation of computer scientists. He has taught undergraduate and graduate computer science courses for over a decade, and students highly regard his teaching style. Dr. Kumar is known for her ability to make complex concepts accessible, fostering an engaging learning environment, and encouraging students to think critically and creatively.
Dr. Kumar served as a faculty member for 14 years at top engineering universities in India and overseas. He has worked as a SRF (01 year) and JRF (02 years) positions with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi sponsored project funded by Government of India (GOI). He has been the author of two books named “Advanced Information System Engineering” (AISE) and “E-Governance” which are studied and referred by students and teachers in many Engineering Universities in India. He has published numerous research papers in top-tier conferences and journals, and the research community has widely cited his work. His areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Logic programming, Algorithms, OOPs, and Fuzzy logic.
Dr. Kumar is a sought-after speaker and has delivered keynote addresses at prestigious conferences, sharing her expertise and research findings with the wider academic community. He also serves on the program committees of various conferences and has reviewed leading journals in computer science. With his exceptional research achievements, teaching abilities, and commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Kumar continues to make significant contributions to the computer science community and inspire future generations of computer scientists.
