A Ph.D. graduate from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, his doctoral research delved into developing machine learning solutions for text and time series. His professional pursuits encompass a broad spectrum, including computer architecture, storage networks, computer vision, text mining, pattern recognition, and the application of artificial intelligence in smart cities and healthcare domains.

Throughout a career spanning 17 years, he has made significant contributions to teaching and research within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Graphic Era Deemed to be University (formerly GEIT), where he embarked as a Lecturer on September 5, 2006. His expertise extends to fruitful collaborations with the renowned data science team at Sony Research India, Bangalore, where he played a pivotal role in advancing recommendation system projects. He has also expanded his knowledge base through participation in the Summer School on Machine Learning in July 2018 at CVIT IIIT Hyderabad.

Acting as a mentor to over 100 undergraduate students in their major projects and guiding more than 15 postgraduate students through their dissertations, he remains dedicated to nurturing the future talent of the field. Noteworthy is his role as the creator and Head of the Machine Learning Research Group (MLRG) at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India, where he leads innovative research endeavors that contribute to the advancement of the field.
