Dr. Niraj Kumar
Associate Professor

RESEARCH AREA

Nanomaterials for sustainable energy storage and nano-electronic devices.

EDUCATION

  • PhD (Nanotechnology), SRM IST, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Kattankulathur, India.
  • M. Tech (Nanotechnology-Nanoelectronics), VIT, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India.
  • B. Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering), MGR Educational & Research Institute, Maduravoyal, India.

Currently he is employed as an Associate Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. His research area involves Electrochemistry (Battery, Supercapacitors and Fuel Cells) and nano-electronic devices. He is able to synthesize some of the finest nanowires of transition metal oxides-based compounds. He has vigorously studied the behavior of nanomaterials as electrode materials in Li-ion battery and symmetric supercapacitor. He has also evaluated the electrocatalytic property of nanomaterials towards oxygen evolution reaction. He has published more than 50 research articles in Scopus, out of which nearly 40 research articles are in international journals of repute. He also holds a patent to his credit.
