Dr. Deependra Pratap Singh had a diverse but related educational background like Industrial Microbiology (B.Sc.), Biotechnology (M.Sc.), Molecular Biology and Immunology (Ph. D). He has qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC-NET (for lectureship) and was awarded with CSIR- Junior/Senior Research Fellowship for doctoral research. In his Ph.D., he worked on therapeutic application of a protocatechuic acid (Ethyl 3-4, dihydroxybenzoate) in acclimatization to high altitude and had experience to work on “development of recombinant-vaccines” against Shigella/Salmonella borne infections. He has 6 publications in reputed national and international journals (including Nature & Vaccines). His area of specialization in research includes Hypoxia & Redox biology, Immunology & Molecular Biology in life style diseases. He has been teaching Molecular Biology to UG and PG for more than 6 years and attended more than 50 workshops, symposiums, national/international conferences. In addition, he is faculty coordinator of BioPRENUERS Club, an entrepreneurial club under the Department of Biotechnology, to encourage the students for innovation and entrepreneurship. Since 2019, he has coordinated more than a dozen of events (webinar/workshops/hands-on training) under the banner of BioPRENUERS Club.
