Dr. Venugopal has over 19 years of experience both in academia and private sector.  She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Eppley Cancer Center, Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha NE, USA.  Her broad area of research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of diseases.  She has studied the mechanism of DNA repair as the source for error-prone mutations in chemical carcinogenesis.   Also, her study investigates various phytochemicals that have potential as anti-tubercular and anti-cancer agents. She has extensively taught at undergraduate and post-graduate programs both internationally and nationally.  She completed a long stint at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Riyadh, KSA and procured an extra-mural research grant in candidiasis. Additionally, she has worked in private biotech sector in various positions.
