Dr. Pankaj Gautam

Dr. Pankaj Gautam is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in molecular pathogenesis and diagnostics, specialising in Salmonella Typhi. He holds a doctoral degree from Jamia Hamdard University and is a CSIR-NET qualified faculty. Dr. Gautam led a successful team in developing the reliable RT-PCR based detection kit for Typhoid named VanScan^TM from Graphic Era, manufactured by Vanguard Diagnostics. He is known for his patenting expertise, having six patents to his name for innovative technologies. With more than thirty publications in indexed journals, his research has significantly contributed to the understanding of Salmonella Typhi. Dr. Gautam’s passion for mentoring is evident in his supervision of eight Ph.D. scholars. He has also secured research funding for both national and international projects, demonstrating his commitment to advancing scientific knowledge. Driven by a desire to revolutionise diagnostics and improve public health, Dr. Pankaj Gautam is a recognised leader in the field, with an unwavering dedication to scientific excellence. Dr. Gautam has served as the head of the microbiology department and hold numerous prestigious positions across various administrative and academic bodies within the university.
