Dr. Mohammad Wazid

I received Ph. D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Center for Security, Theory and Algorithmic Research of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, India. I also received B. E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kumaon Engineering College, Dwarahat, Uttarakhand, India, and M. Tech. degree in CSE (with specialization in Computer Network Engineering)  from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India.  Currently, I am working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India. I am also the Head of Cyber security and IoT research group at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India.  Prior to this, I was working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka, India. I was also the Postdoctoral Researcher at Cyber Security and Networks Lab, Innopolis University, Innopolis, Russia. I received the University Gold Medal in my master degree and also awarded as the Young Scientist by USSTC  (UCOST), Department of Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand, India. I have published 131 research papers in international journals and conferences. That also includes 75 Science Citation Index (SCI)/Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and 39 IEEE Transactions/IEEE Journal/IEEE Magazine publications. Moreover, I filed 12 patentsFrom that list seven Indian patents have been published. Three Australian patents, one South African patent and one German patent have been granted. 

My research interest includes Information Security, Authentication, Access Control, Intrusion detection System, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud/fog/edge Computing, Big Data and BlockchainI am also the Associate Editor of IET Communications journal (IF: 1.443). I am the member of various research organizations such as British Computer Society, IEEE, IEEE Cybersecurity Community, IEEE Cloud Computing Community, IEEE Biometrics Council, IEEE Council on RFID, IEEE Sensors Council and IEEE Smart Cities Community.
