A two-day workshop entitled “Awareness Program-cum Training for Women on Orchid Cultivation in Uttarakhand” was held at Graphic Era Deemed To Be University. Led by Activity Coordinator Professor (Dr.) Manu Pant and her team, the workshop provided female farmers from various regions of Uttarakhand with training on effective orchid cultivation techniques. Participants explored topics including propagation, disease prevention, and nutrient requirements, while also engaging in practical activities such as substrate and pot preparation, orchid division, and fertilizer application. The program included insights into market trends and value-added products, encouraging farmers to consider diversified income opportunities.
