Dr. Arkadeep Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor (Biosciences) at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), India, and has served as an International Research Professor in the Environment Engineering Lab (Department of Civil Engineering) at Yeungnam University, South Korea for 5 years. He holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India, where his research focused on identifying gene resources of functional importance from metal-polluted soils using a metatranscriptomic approach. His postdoctoral research, funded under the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, has focused on the development of advanced wastewater treatment strategies integrating physical, enzymatic, and photocatalytic oxidation processes.

Dr. Mukherjee has published several high-impact SCI-indexed papers and works across biotechnology, microbiology, and environmental engineering, with a strong emphasis on bioremediation. His innovative contributions have resulted in one granted Korean patent and one filed patent. He is committed to mentoring emerging researchers and developing eco-friendly technologies to address global environmental challenges. In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Mukherjee actively engages in international collaborations and academic outreach.
