Abhishek Kumar works in the domain of Environmental Biotechnology and Biodiversity conservation. He holds a PhD degree in Forestry (Forest Ecology and Environment) from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He has a B. Tech (Biotechnology) degree from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj and M. Tech (Biotechnology) degree from Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida. Dr. Kumar and has worked with various reputed organizations like Indian Agriculture Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi and National Bureau of Plant and Genetic Resources, New Delhi in different research projects and capacities. He also worked with Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun (2022-24) in NMCG project working on biodiversity conservation and nature interpretation. His research area is interdisciplinary and focuses mainly on invasive species biology, plant ecology, and biodiversity involving the aspects of environmental biotechnology.
