Associate Professor

Dr. Kumud Pant did her master’s in biotechnology and received her doctorate in Bioinformatics from NIT Bhopal. She is one of the pioneers in establishing Bioinformatics in the university. She has been actively engaged in research and has published more than 70 research articles in high impact journals of national and international repute. She has also authored 10 book chapters. Three (3) students have already been awarded Ph. D. under her and 6 are in advance stage of completion of their thesis. She has 5 patents to her credit and has successfully completed 2 research projects granted by Government funding agencies, as Principal Investigator and is co-investigator in the third (3rd) project. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience and has taught graduate, undergraduate and Ph. D. students. She has also guided ten (10) post-graduate and thirty five (35) graduate dissertations. She has also been actively engaged in organizing national and international conferences as Organizing secretary and also coordinated several events. Twice she has been conferred best researcher award by Graphic Era University.
