Prateek Gururani is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Graphic Era (deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. His major research interests include Algal biorefinery, Wastewater Treatment and Algal nutraceuticals. He has published more than 30 research and review articles in highly reputed journals (Fuel, Trends in Food science and Technology, Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, Biomass conversion and Biorefinery etc.) along with 1 Indian Patent published.

He served as a review editor for Journal of Water Process Engineering, Biomass conversion and Biorefinery, Fuel, Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Heliyon etc.
