He is working as a Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dehradun since 20th June 2022. He has 22+ years of experience in teaching and research. He did his post-doctoral at the department of Computer Science, Università degli Studi di Milano, in consultation with Prof. Vincenzo Piuri to develop advanced deep learning techniques for industrial and environmental application. He was awarded a PhD degree from Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad for his research on recognizing unusual human activities in visual surveillance system. He received the M.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and the B.Tech degree from CSJM University Kanpur. He has participated in many national and international research projects, and his professional interests include computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence applied to unusual activity analysis and surveillance system. He is an active member of the ACM and IEEE Computer Society. He has published his research work in several international journals and conferences of repute. He received DST scholarship worth INR 70,000/- for High performance computing and applications in Geophysics organized in Russia. He got a Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST) project grant of INR 20 Lakhs from Government of Karnataka and successfully completed it as a Principal Investigator. He received a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the UNIMI European Union to work on an important project in the Università degli Studi di Milano.
