Dr. Rishi Prakash obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. Currently, he is Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand India. He has qualified UGC-NET and received the Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship from UGC for pursuing his PhD in IIT Roorkee.
His areas of interest are analysis of Synthetic Aperture Radar data for earth parameter estimation, Remote Sensing, Applications of Global Navigational Satellite System GNSS, Remote Sensing for Land Use Land Cover (LULC) microwave devices and antenna. He has published more than 70 research papers in various International Journal and Conferences of repute. He has also worked on a collaborative project with Japan Aerospace and Exploration Agency (JAXA) from 2016-21.
He has completed two sponsored project from Space Applications Center (SAC) Ahmedabad, Indian Space Research Organization related to soil moisture estimation with Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) signal from 2017-22. Currently, he is actively involved for establishing a corner reflector setup for calibration of upcoming NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) and utilization of NISAR data for various earth applications.
