ASIA University, TAIWAN

Asia University is a university in Wufeng DistrictTaichung, Taiwan. Founded in 2001, it offers education for degrees in health and medical science, computer science and electrical engineering, creative design, management, and humanities and social sciences.

AU was founded with the goal of becoming an internationally competitive comprehensive university, and has been growing quickly since its creation. Specifically, being essentially a college with 17 departments and only about 2000 students when established in 2001, AU has become a medium-size university with 28 departments and more than 12,000 students in 2018.[3]

The MOU between GEU and AU includes:

  • Student Exchange Program;
  • Faculty Exchange Program;
  • Joint Research, Seminars and Workshops;
  • Sharing of Pedagogical Information;
  • Semester Exchange Programs, etc.

Chaoyang University of Technology, TAIWAN

Chaoyang University of Technology is a university in Wufeng DistrictTaichungTaiwan. Founded in 1994. Originally named Chaoyang Institute of Technology. In 1997, CYUT was designated by the Ministry of Education as a University of Technology, the highest level in the technological and vocational education system within the R.O.C.

Currently, the University comprises 5 colleges and 23 departments, which offer 23 master’s programs and 5 doctoral programs. The number of students currently enrolled is around 18,000, and faculty and staff total about 1,000. CYUT’s teachers and facilities have been recognized for excellence, and its goal is to become a large type institution of higher learning.

TAIPEI, Economic and Cultural Center in India

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India is the representative office of Taiwan in India, functioning as a de facto embassy in the absence of diplomatic relations. It was established in 1995.

The Center is also responsible for relations with Nepal and Bhutan, and has joint responsibility for Bangladesh with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand in Bangkok. Between 2004 and 2009, affairs with Bangladesh were handled by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Bangladesh in Dhaka.

There is also a Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai. This has responsibility for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, as well as the southern states and territories of India.

Its counterpart body in Taiwan is the India-Taipei Association in Taipei.
