Dr. Vijay Kumar serves as an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University). He obtained his M.Tech., and Ph.D., in Manufacturing Technology from NIT Jalandhar, Punjab. His major research interests include Laser Processing, Stealth Coating, slurry and cavitation erosion, surface engineering, thermal spray & Superhydrophobic coatings, cryogenic treatments, additive manufacturing, wear, and material processing and characterization. He has published 27 SCI/SCIE papers in international journals, 4 Scopus paper and 10 book chapter of repute with 275 citations and an H-index of 8. He is open to collaboration with researchers who can work in the field of surface engineering, tribology, laser cladding, laser processing, 3D printing, Stealth coating and corrosion etc., and also for the interdisciplinary work related to antifungal properties of metals and artificial intelligence.
