  • Received Best Paper Award in ICAMEN 2019, international conference by Manipal University Jaipur in 2019.
  • Golden Key award for excellent academic performance during M.Eng by Golden Key International Honors Society in 2011.
  • Got a overall band score of 8.0 out of 9.0 in IELTS exam certifying that I am a very good user of English language in 2009.
  • Certified twice in French language course in 2003 and 2007.
  • Got 98th rank to the state in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET)-Eng. in 2002.

Dr. Rangaraj M Desai has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of experience in teaching and 2 years of experience in Automotive MNC. Dr. Desai has published 7 peer reviewed articles in international Journals which are both SCOPUS and SCIE indexed. He has also participated and published research articles in 5 international conferences. He completed his doctorate degree at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal in 2021 by working on development, design and testing of Magneto-Rheological Dampers for application in semi-active suspension of automobiles. The research work consisted of working with Smart Materials for mechanical vibrations applications. His research work was part of IMPRINT Project, which was funded by MHRD and MoRTH, Govt. of India, research guide was the Principal Investigator and it also involved collaboration with industries. Before pursuing his Ph.D. degree, he was Assistant Professor in School of Mechanical Engineering at Reva University, Bengaluru, India for two years. During this time, he has taught various courses in the B.Tech as well as M.Tech programs such as  Mechanical Vibrations, Design of Machine Elements, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Automobile Engineering, Automotive Chassis and Suspension, Computer Aided Design, Design of Mechanisms, Gear Engineering, Design for Manufacturing, Dynamics of Machinery and Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
