Dr. Gaurav Pant is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He worked as a “Food safety auditor” under “TQS Global Management System”, during “XIX COMMON WEALTH GAMES – 2010, New Delhi”. He was Senior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR – New Delhi), in a research project entitled “Bioremediation of heavy metals from industrial effluents using cyanobacterial strains” at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam from 21. 09. 2011 to 31.07.2014. His thrust area of research involves monitoring and understanding the impact of pollutants on environmental issues related to public health. Besides, he is also working on different restoration approaches for environmental clean-up based on biological and artificial intelligence (AI) models. Dr. Pant has published more than 30 research and review articles in highly reputed journals (Journal of Hazardous Materials, Algal Research, Applied Water Science, Applied Nanoscience, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Theoretical and Applied Climatology, South African Journal of Botany, ACS Omega, Desalination and Water Treatment etc) along with 6 book chapters (Springer Cham, Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, Springer Nature), 23 NCBI GenBank sequences and 2 patents. Dr. Pant supervised 3 Ph.D. students and is engaged with supervision of 2 Ph.D. students in GEU. Dr. Pant is acting as topic editor and is a recognised reviewer in different international journals including Environmental Technology & Innovation and Journal of Hearbal Medicine.
