Dr. Manoj Pal is a highly skilled and dedicated faculty member with more than 17 years of experience in the field of biosensors, specializing in electrochemical and optical biosensing. He holds a doctorate degree from IIT Roorkee and GATE, CSIR-NET, and USET qualified.

Moreover, he has successfully completed two postdoctoral programs at prestigious universities in Israel. The first was at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he conducted research on Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS) in the model organism C. elegans. The second postdoctoral program spanned three years at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he focused on studying the divisome machinery of E. coli in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB) in Munich, Germany.

Dr. Pal’s research focuses on two main areas. Firstly, he is involved in the development of innovative methods for electrochemical and optical biosensors. Secondly, he is dedicated to advancing microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology for bioenergy generation, utilizing various carbonic waste materials. Recently, his team has developed a cost effective microbial fuel cell system (MFC) for waste management and bioenergy generation.

Dr. Pal has made significant contributions to the field of electrochemical and optical biosensing through his extensive research, resulting in over twenty-five publications in renowned indexed journals. His commitment to mentoring is evident in his supervision of five Ph.D. scholars. Dr. Pal is widely recognized as a leader in his field and remains steadfast in his pursuit of scientific excellence.
