Dr. Virendra Bahadur Singh is working with Petroleum and Geoscience stream and has extensive experience of working, teaching and researching in this field. Prof. Singh is currently Professor and Head of Petroleum Engineering and Earth Science Department in the Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dehradun. He did D.Phil. in Applied Geology from prestigious University of Allahabad, A Central University with more than 20 years of research and teaching experiences. He has also qualified the NET-CSIR and GATE examination. Prior to his present assignment he has worked as an Associate Professor in this university, as Scientist, Young Scientist and also guest faculty in the research institution and central University. Dr. Singh has a vast experience of research and he has published many research papers in journals and conferences of high repute with significant impact factor. The

International Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) provided the core samples from South China Sea to Prof Singh for his research work. Dr. Singh is member of many professional societies like Society of Petroleum Engineers, Indian Society of Remote Sensing. He is the recipient of research grant of Rs 11.52 lakhs under the SERC Fast Track Young Scientist Scheme by DST New Delhi.
