About The Program

B.A (H) Psychology three years undergraduate program was introduced by the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at Graphic Era deemed to be University in 2016.

The program blends psychology theory with practical applications. Our students do more than just attend lectures and take notes. Some classes engage in collaborative activities that stimulate creative solutions to psychological problems. Others use simulations that require students to make decisions about their own behavior and life. The department is offering comprehensive coverage of the major fields in psychology.

With effect from 2022, the department has implemented NEP, National Education policy and four-year undergraduate program in which Multiple Entry Exit Program where students will be able to enter and exit the programme at various stages is also introduced. Our goal is to make students active participants in the learning process. Internships both on and off campus are another way to acquire practical experience.

In addition, the department also recognizes the importance of conducting professionally relevant service activities for the university, the public and private constituents at the local, state and national levels. The primary mission of the psychology program is to offer educational opportunities to students in order to prepare them to become accomplished citizens and professionals capable of critical thinking and independent analysis.

Eligibility criteria for admission in the program

Candidates who had passed 12th in any stream from a recognized board of examination in any stream with not less than 60% are eligible to join the program.

PEO1

To be able to identify, explain and use psychological concepts, theories, models, and data analytic techniques.

PEO2

To acquire and use knowledge of psychology, mathematics, statistics and learning psychology history in the variety of contexts, providing the foundation for success in graduate studies and careers in the public and private sector.

PSO1

Critical thinking skills, creativity and inquiry are an important component of Psychology therefore the students will develop scientific approach to analyzing the problems related to behavior and mental processes, evaluate evidence and use empirical research in finding solutions.
