About The Program

The Master of Arts in English is a postgraduate program designed to enhance students’ understanding of the English language, literature, and associated cultural and critical frameworks.

The curriculum provides participants with analytical and scholarly skills, preparing them for professional pathways in academia, publishing, writing, education, and related fields. The central aim of the program is to inculcate critical thinking, advanced research methodologies, and articulate and persuasive communication skills. Students engage in close analysis and interpretation of literary texts, developing proficiency in writing and speech, and conduct research using diverse source materials. The program encompasses a broad yet focused selection of courses spanning literary theory, linguistics, cultural studies, creative writing, and rhetoric. Students benefit from close mentorship by faculty members who are active scholars and experts in their respective fields. Through dedicated guidance, detailed feedback, and collaborative engagement, faculty support students in refining their research projects, strengthening their analytical writing, and achieving their academic and professional goals.
