Community Initiatives

समाज के साथ, समाज के लिए. Creating Opportunities Beyond Education.

Since 1993, Graphic Era has believed that its role extends beyond the classroom. शिक्षा के साथ सेवा और समाज के प्रति उत्तरदायित्व भी हमारी पहचान है। Alongside academic excellence, the institution has consistently worked to support communities through scholarships, healthcare outreach, blood donation drives, and disaster relief initiatives.

These efforts reflect a simple commitment: creating opportunities, supporting those in need, and contributing to the well-being of the community.

Kaushal Jyoti Scholarship Scheme

The Kaushal Jyoti Scholarship Scheme reflects Graphic Era's commitment to making professional education accessible to deserving students from economically weaker sections. By removing financial barriers, the initiative provides a platform for talented individuals to pursue Diploma in Engineering and Hotel Management programmes that equip them with the skills to build successful careers.

For aspiring hospitality professionals, the scheme also offers a one-year Hotel Management programme with six months of classroom learning and six months of industrial training. Along with a ₹60,000 course scholarship, the initiative makes quality hospitality education more accessible, creating opportunities for students to enter one of the country's fastest-growing service sectors.

There is also the two-year Diploma in Engineering programmes in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, and Civil Engineering. It is an initiative that empowers deserving students with technical education, enabling them to build meaningful careers and contribute to a skilled workforce.

Disaster Relief and Community Support

Graphic Era has consistently stood with communities during times of crisis.

Following the 2025 flash floods in Uttarkashi, Chairman Dr. (Prof.) Kamal Ghanshala announced free education for Jahnavi Panwar, whose family lost their home and livelihood in the disaster. Similar support has been extended to other affected students as they are identified.

Graphic Era Hospital also organised a health check-up camp at the ITBP base in Matli, where doctors and nurses provided medical care during the relief effort. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand visited the camp to review the initiative.

The university has supported similar relief efforts during the Kedarnath disaster and the Joshimath crisis, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to the people of Uttarakhand.
