Hindi Pakhwara stands as one of the most prestigious and identity-defining flagship initiatives of Kavyanjali. Organized annually over a period of two weeks on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, this extensive literary and cultural festival is dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and celebration of the Hindi language. The event aims to cultivate linguistic pride, cultural awareness, and creative expression among students, while also providing them with a platform to engage deeply with Hindi literature in its diverse forms.
Throughout the two-week duration, Hindi Pakhwara hosted a wide spectrum of thoughtfully curated activities designed to cater to varied literary interests and talents. These activities included the Inaugural Ceremony and Hindi Shloka Recitation, which set a scholarly and cultural tone for the festival; Poster and Rangoli Competitions, encouraging visual interpretation of linguistic themes; Creative Writing sessions that nurtured originality and imagination; Speech Competitions and Poetry Recitations that enhanced oratory and performative skills; Culinary Activities highlighting cultural diversity through traditional food; and a range of interactive and recreational events that ensured inclusive participation.
Additional highlights included the Hindi Diwas Celebration, Mono Acting, Folktale Narration, Idioms and Quiz Competitions, and specialized Workshops aimed at skill development. A significant intellectual dimension was added through Book Review sessions and Author Interaction, where students engaged directly with a renowned Hindi poet, gaining valuable insights into literary creation and contemporary Hindi literature.
The festival culminated in “Tooryanad”, the grand closing ceremony of the Hindi Mahotsav. This concluding event symbolized the collective achievement of the fortnight, celebrating participation, creativity, and cultural unity, while reinforcing the enduring relevance of Hindi in modern academic and social contexts.
