Dr. Aqueel Ahmad is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. His research interests lie in sustainable energy systems, energy and emission control, and alternative fuels such as hydrogen, biogas, biodiesel, and ethanol for IC engines. He is also engaged in predictive modeling and optimization of combustion and emission parameters using advanced soft computing techniques.

He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly NSIT, Delhi University), New Delhi, and holds an M.Tech in Thermal Science and Engineering from NIT Agartala. He earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

With over 7 years of combined teaching and research experience, including 4 years at NSUT Delhi, Dr. Ahmad has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has authored 35 SCI-indexed and 4 Scopus-indexed journal articles, with an h-index of 16 and a cumulative impact factor (CIF) of 182. He has presented his research at several international conferences. His ongoing research focuses on developing cleaner and more efficient energy technologies, addressing key global energy and environmental challenges.
