Discussions focused on how GST reforms contribute to inclusive growth, digital transformation, and economic efficiency in India.
Through insightful sessions, research presentations, and expert interactions, the conference fostered meaningful knowledge exchange and collaborative dialogue, offering valuable perspectives for shaping future economic policies and practices.

The Department of Management Studies, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), successfully organized a two-day International Conference on “Advances in Management and Technology (AMT-2024)”, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
The conference brought together academicians, industry experts, researchers, and scholars from across the globe, providing a dynamic platform for intellectual exchange and collaboration. Around 75 research presentations were delivered across diverse tracks, including General Management, functional domains, innovation, technology, ESG, and entrepreneurship.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Sunil Luthra (Chief Guest), Prof. Narpinder Singh (Vice Chancellor, GEU), Prof. Sanjay Jasola (Vice Chancellor, GEHU), along with Prof. Sachin Ghai (HOD, Management Studies), Dr. Manu Sharma (Conference Convenor), and Dr. Deepak Kaushal (Co-Convenor). The inaugural address highlighted the growing integration of management practices with technological advancements.
The conference featured keynote sessions by eminent experts, including distinguished academicians from institutions such as IIT Delhi, IIMs, international universities, and industry leaders from organizations like SAP Innovation Center, Germany, offering deep insights into contemporary challenges and innovations.
Conducted in a hybrid mode, the conference ensured wider global participation and facilitated meaningful discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing. The event concluded with a valedictory session graced by Dr. Durgesh Pant (Director General, UCOST), marking a successful culmination of the conference.
Overall, AMT-2024 served as a significant academic initiative, fostering innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and global collaboration in the fields of management and technology.

AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) sponsored Faculty Programme was organized from 18th to 30th November 2024 on “Supply Chain Optimization and Prescriptive Analytics using Machine Learning.” This two-week Advanced FDP was sanctioned an amount of Rs. 6 lacs to Dr. Manu Sharma, the Coordinator, for conducting the ATAL FDP. The program focused on prescriptive analytics for optimizing production and operation processes and the network design of supply chains. This FDP aimed to empower faculty members, scholars, and students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in optimizing supply chains through prescriptive analytics, leveraging machine learning techniques. A two week packed schedule with 16 rigorous sessions was conducted by numerous experts in the areas of supply chains and optimization, along with two industrial visits.

In partnership with FPT University, Vietnam, GESOM organized a five-day workshop on cross-cultural management, ESG, AI, telecommunications, digital marketing, and startup collaboration, along with a simulation challenge and business pitch led by global experts.

GEsoM hosted Prof. Dr. Lutz H. Schminke from Hochschule Fulda, Germany, for a workshop and FDP on evolving global marketing practices.

The programme provides short-term international exposure through company visits, leadership interactions, cultural experiences, and hands-on global business projects.

The Universal Human Values (UHV) cell of Graphic Era School of Management (GESoM) is dedicated to achieve the department vision of engaging in continual evolution of management practices for social transformation and development by transforming the students into individuals with human and ethical skills for personal and professional life. The UHV cell is a student led initiative for enhancing the good governance practices by inculcating human values for a harmonious co-existence with self, family, society and nature. The UHV cell is engaged in conduct of workshops, guest lectures, social outreach connect and research for integrating human values for developing inclusive and sustainable management practices.

The Department of Management Studies at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, under the aegis of the Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell, successfully organized a National Seminar on the theme “Role of Ancient Indian Values in New Age Business”. The central theme of the seminar was “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” meaning “The whole world is one family.” The discussions focused on ethical and sustainable business practices rooted in Indian philosophy. The seminar witnessed the presentation of over 100 research papers by undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars from various educational institutions and universities across the country. The Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Narpinder Singh, encouraged students to embrace ancient Indian values and education in their personal and professional lives.
The Chief Guest for the event, Col. (retd.) Mayank Chaubey, shared his insights on leadership and global perspectives. He motivated students by highlighting India’s foreign policy, diplomacy, and its growing influence on the global stage. Mr. Gajendra Ramola, President of Neo Vision Foundation and an alumnus of Graphic Era, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of fulfilling duties. He remarked that while everyone fights for their rights, very few speak about their responsibilities.
Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Das, Chief Advisor of the university, highlighted the significance of integrating traditional values into modern business practices and cited several examples from the corporate world. The Seminar Convenor and Faculty In-charge of the UHV Cell Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Tiwari, delivered the vote of thanks and outlined the roadmap for upcoming activities under the UHV Cell. Student President Mr. Manik Agrawal also expressed gratitude on behalf of the students. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, research scholars, and faculty members, making it a meaningful platform for connecting ancient Indian values with contemporary business practices. Among others present on the occasion were Prof. (Dr.) Girish Lakhera, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Taneja, Dr. Desh Bandhu Singh, Dr. Pushpendra Kumar, Ms. Aashi Singhal along with many students, faculty, and staff members.
