Kiran Bisht is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She is an awardee of the prestigious Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) jointly sponsored by the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Indian National Science Academy (INSA), and the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), which she received during her undergraduate studies. She is also a gold medilist in MSc. and recipient of the Aditya Birla Group Fellowship for her postgraduate.

Her areas of specialisation encompass Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Botany, and Plant Sciences, with a strong focus on the application of biological and chemical principles in forensic investigations. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is actively involved in mentoring students in research projects related to forensic science, guiding them in experimental design, analytical techniques, data interpretation, and scientific writing. Her academic interests include integrating interdisciplinary approaches in forensic biosciences and fostering research-oriented learning among students.
