Dr. Vijay Negi

Professor & Head Humanities and Social Sciences

With a career spanning over 21 years, Dr. Vijay Negi has made significant contributions to the fields of teaching, research, and administration. Throughout his tenure, he has been deeply committed to fostering academic excellence and nurturing future scholars in the areas of English Literature and Professional Communication. His expertise covers a broad range of subjects, including the History of English Literature, Corporate Communication, Soft Skills, Human Values, Industrial Psychology and various genres of literature, such as Indian Writing in English, Diasporic Literature, Canadian Literature, Parsi Literature, and South Asian Literature. These areas form the cornerstone of his teaching and research, reflecting his comprehensive approach to the study of English literature and its global contexts.

As an educator, he has been involved in supervising the academic development of numerous postgraduate and doctoral students. He has successfully guided 6 M.Phil scholars and 5 Ph.D. scholars, helping them refine their research skills and deepen their knowledge in their respective areas of interest. His mentoring approach is highly regarded for fostering independent thinking, critical analysis, and scholarly integrity among his students.

His research output reflects his dedication to advancing the field of literature and communication. With 27 research papers published in national and international journals, he has contributed to both the theoretical and practical aspects of his discipline. Additionally, he has presented 25 research papers at national and international seminars and conferences, engaging with the wider academic community and keeping abreast of the latest developments in his field. Beyond his teaching and research, he has also played an active role in the administrative and organizational aspects of academia. His 21 years of experience in academia have equipped him with a deep understanding of the institutional framework and the importance of effective leadership, making him a valuable asset in shaping academic programs and contributing to institutional growth.
