The department of Commerce has all the facilities to ensure smooth conduct of teaching and learning process. The Department has State- of- the- art classrooms and the lecture theatres, equipped with LCD Projectors, networked computers and intelligent whiteboards. These facilities create a platform for trainers to deliver high quality lectures and make live presentations. The departmental seminar halls, with central air conditioning and modern sound equipment, video-projection facility, are the focal point of numerous academic activities. The well equipped air conditioned conference hall, with audio-video facility, muted air conditioning, LCD projector and a seating capacity in a “u” shaped formation. A fully Wi – Fi campus provides 24×7 wireless internet connectivity to the students and faculty.
Departmental building also has an elaborate auditorium, multiple activity and recreational centres and activity rooms. The activity rooms are used by the students for rehearsing their performances, for project works and other activities.
The department has industrial linkage and academic alliance with Oracle University, Microsoft through MSDN, EMC, IBM and Novell. These collaborations have facilitated in depth knowledge and additional certification courses that have become career simulators.
Students get opportunity to interact with guest lecturers from IITs and NITs and have interaction with industry experts during seminars, workshops and conferences.
The Department also offers a wide range of facilities for co curricular and extracurricular activity. These facilities come to the students as platforms for peer group interaction through various clubs such as Speaker’s Club, Eco Club, Quiz Club, Scrabble Club, Dance Club, Photography Club, Music Club, Mountaineering And Trekking Club, Wildlife Club, Web Designing Club, GEU Film Society, The Philately Club, NSS, NCC Etc. The university conducts annual Fest where in each of these clubs invite participation from all the students of the university in various contests.
The University has facilities for both the outdoor and indoor sports, the University team has participated and won several state level and inter collegiate tournaments. The sports in which the students are engaged are Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Throw ball, Basket ball, Athletics. The University has exclusive High Tech Gym for both Boys an students, such as the credited elective HSFP (Head Start Foundation Program) with direct support from Accenture and another credited elective BI (Business Intelligence) with direct support from Infosys, etc.
