Dr. Raghavendra V. Kulkarni

Professor Computer Science and Engineering

Dr. Raghavendra V. Kulkarni has served as a Visiting Researcher at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri, USA, and Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, USA. He has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles in leading international journals published by IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. He has conducted tutorials, presented research papers, and chaired technical sessions at over 20 international conferences held in the USA, Australia, Greece, and India. He serves as a reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, Elsevier journals, and numerous international conferences, and is a member of the Technical Program Committees of many international conferences. He has successfully supervised two doctoral scholars who were awarded PhD degrees and has guided nearly forty M.Tech. dissertations. In recognition of his academic contributions, he was listed in the 2011 edition of Marquis Who's Who in Science and Technology.

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA, in May 2010
  • Master of Technology in Electronics Engineering (with a specialization in Digital Techniques and Instrumentation) from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, in January 1994.
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karnatak University, Dharwad, India, in July 1987

Awards

  • Dr. Raghavendra V. Kulkarni received the Award for Research Publications (ARP) for 2013–14, instituted by the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka, in recognition of his outstanding research contributions. The award was presented by Professor C. N. R. Rao, a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, and Siddaramaiah, who was the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka at the time.
