Dr. Afreen Parveen

Assistant Professor Food Science and Technology

Dr. Afreen Parveen is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science & Technology at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Botany from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) Garhwal University, India, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. She completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, where her doctoral research focused on Algal Biotechnology. During her doctoral studies, she published four research and review articles in reputed journals based on her thesis work. Her research interests primarily include algal biotechnology, value-added compounds, and secondary metabolites. She has authored several research papers in reputed national and international journals and has actively participated in various scientific conferences. In addition to her academic and research contributions, she also possesses volunteer experience, reflecting her involvement in academic and community-oriented activities.
