


Associate Professor Humanities and Social Sciences
Ajay Kumar Singh is working as an Associate Professor (Research) at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University Dehradun. He did Post-Doctorate Research with EDI of India, Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India). He received MPhil (Economics) from Devi Ahilya University Indore (India), and PhD (Economics) from IIT Indore (India) as host institute, and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok (Thailand) and FSC, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart (Germany) as a Collaborative Research Institutions. He has more than 10 years’ post-PhD experience in research and teaching. He has published more than 150 research papers and book chapters in reputed national and international journals. He has publication in the area of climate change, agricultural productivity, projected crops yields and agricultural productivity in different climate change scenarios in India; GDP projection at state level in India; assessment of food security at national and international level; estimation of GFSI across economies, assessment of environmental sustainability index and its association with socio-economic indicators. He has also research knowhow in the area of: climate change-agricultural productivity-food security-human health, determinants of sustainable development and its measurement, entrepreneurship ecosystem and economic development, implications of S&T and IPRs in manufacturing sector, and assessment of sustainable livelihood security. He has developed different indexes in the development fields using principal components analysis, and composite Z-score techniques. He has estimated the impact of digitalization on various dimensions of sustainable development including environmental sustainability, social sustainability, economic sustainability and renewable energy consumption across countries using advanced and robust econometric models.
