Dr. Amar Jyoti Das

Assistant Professor Microbiology

Dr. Amar Jyoti Das, working as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, India is having 13 years research experience. Prior to this, he worked in CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun and in R&D centre of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bangalore, India. His expertise is in environmental microbiology especially in biosurfactant, metabolomics and bioprocess. He loves to tinker with technology, employ new techniques and innovative ideas for betterment of environment and human. His track record of research is quite eclectic as he has contributed to various disciplines, spanning from environmental microbiology, microbial metabolomics, bioprocess, industrial microbiology. He have published numerous research and review articles in reputed national and international journal and have presented numerous papers at conferences for which he has received many awards. He is actively involved as an editor and reviewer in many International and National Journals and has four patents on biosurfactant technology and authored two books in Springer journals.
