Dr. Amit Kumar is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He served as an Associate Professor and Foreign Faculty (IT) at Ningxia Normal University (NXNU), Guyuan, Ningxia, China, from August 2019 to March 2023. He has 16 years of experience across academia, industry, and research in India and overseas. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

He has worked in SRF (1 year) and JRF (2 years) positions on a Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, sponsored project funded by the Government of India (GOI). His research expertise lies in E-learning, Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), Learner Modeling, Learning Styles, Pedagogy development, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Kumar is committed to imparting knowledge and inspiring the next generation of computer scientists. He has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science for over a decade, and his teaching style is highly regarded by students.

He has been the author of two books named “Advanced Information System Engineering” (AISE) and “E- Governance”, which are studied and referred to by students and teachers in many Engineering Universities in India. He has published numerous research papers in top-tier conferences and SCI journals, and his work has been widely cited by the research community. Dr. Amit Kumar is a sought-after speaker and has delivered keynote addresses at prestigious national and international conferences, sharing his expertise and research findings with the wider academic community. He also serves on the program committees of various conferences and has served as a reviewer for leading journals in computer science including springer and Elsevier. With his exceptional research achievements, teaching abilities, and commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Amit Kumar continues to make significant contributions to the computer science community and inspire future generations of computer scientists.
