Dr. Ankit Bhatt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Energy (Electrical Power System Management) from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, and M.Tech. in Alternate Hydro Energy Systems from IIT Roorkee. His primary research areas include hybrid renewable energy systems, techno-economic optimization of microgrids, second-life battery integration, energy management strategies, and machine learning applications in energy and power systems. He has published extensively in high-impact SCI/SCIE journals such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Conversion and Management, International Journal of Energy Research, and Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments. His work covers optimal energy management for carbon-neutral microgrids, useful capacity prediction of second-life batteries, very short-term solar forecasting, and feasibility analysis of off-grid hybrid systems. Dr. Bhatt has contributed book chapters and conference papers in areas ranging from renewable energy and microgrids to AI-based smart agriculture and power quality analysis. He is a reviewer for leading international journals from Elsevier and Springer Nature and has served as meta-reviewer, session chair, and convener for reputed international conferences. He actively contributes to departmental accreditation (NBA and NAAC) and coordination activities. His technical expertise spans MATLAB, HOMER Pro, GAMS–CPLEX, Python, and various optimization and deep learning techniques for sustainable energy applications.
