Dr. Aqueel Ahmad is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. His research interests include sustainable energy systems, energy and emission control, and alternative fuels such as hydrogen, biogas, biodiesel, and ethanol for internal combustion engines. He is also actively involved in predictive modeling, optimization, and emission reduction using advanced soft computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques.
Dr. Ahmad completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly NSIT, Delhi University), New Delhi. He holds an M.Tech in Thermal Science and Engineering from NIT Agartala and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University. With over 7 years of combined teaching and research experience, including 4 years at NSUT Delhi, he has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has published 45 SCI-indexed and 4 Scopus-indexed journal articles, with an h-index of 21 and a cumulative impact factor of 220. In 2025, he was recognized among the top 2% research scientists globally.
