Dr. Bindu Naik is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. Dr. Naik’s academic journey across Zoology, Biotechnology, and Food Technology equips her with a unique blend of conceptual clarity and practical proficiency, enabling her to address complex scientific challenges through an interdisciplinary approach. Dr. Naik’s research interests encompass Himalayan plant bioactives, natural antioxidant and antimicrobial preservatives, enzyme bioprocessing, probiotic and postbiotic development, and value addition of non-timber forest products. With over 13 years of academic experience, she has actively contributed to teaching and research, publishing 84 scholarly research and review articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals, 48 of which appear in Q1 journals, along with 9 Indian patents published. Through her interdisciplinary research and innovation, Dr. Naik’s work contributes to 12 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and global well-being. She has experience in executing UCOST-funded external research projects.
