


Associate Professor Mathematics
Dr. Deepika Saini is an Associate Professor at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2015. Earlier, she completed her Master’s degree in Mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (H.N.B.) Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, in 2005, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for securing the first position among all postgraduate students.
Dr. Saini’s research interests span the interdisciplinary domains of computer vision, image processing, and computer graphics, with a focus on their applications across diverse technical and scientific fields. She actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, including those published by Springer, Emerald, IEEE, IJMEMS, and numerous MDPI journals.
With a strong research portfolio, Dr. Saini has authored and co-authored more than 25 research papers in reputed national and international journals and book chapters published by leading publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, among others. She has also presented her research findings at various national and international conferences. In addition to her research publications, she has served as an editor for two academic books published by CRC Press. Her scholarly excellence was further recognized with the Best Paper Award at NETCRYPT 2020.
Dr. Saini possesses extensive teaching experience and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Engineering Mathematics I, II, and III, Discrete Mathematics, Computer-Based Numerical and Statistical Techniques, Linear Programming, Numerical Analysis, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and Differential Equations. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, mathematical rigor, and the practical application of mathematical principles in engineering and research domains.
