Dr. Divakar Sharma

Associate Professor Biotechnology

Dr. Divakar Sharma holds a doctorate from the National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra (ICMR), and Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India. He has more than 16 years of experience in the field of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In the past, Dr. Sharma served at various institutions of National repute, including ICMR-NJILOMD, AMU, IITD, MAMC, and LHMC. Currently, Dr. Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun, India, with 11 years of post-PhD experience in research and teaching. He has published more than 110 articles and book chapters in international journals and books. He also edited several books for Springer, Elsevier, and Bentham Science Publishers. He also serves as an associate editor for various international journals published of Wiley, BMC, Frontiers, SAGE, and Bentham Science. He also has various national awards and fellowships. Dr. Sharma was ranked in the top 2% of the world’s scientists by Stanford University in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Currently, Dr. Sharma is guiding five PhD students.
