


Associate Professor Microbiology
Dr. Gaurav Pant (ICMR-SRF) is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) and Research Coordinator at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences (GEIMS), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He previously worked as a Food Safety Auditor during the XIX Commonwealth Games, New Delhi (2010). Dr. Pant was a Senior Research Fellow (ICMR, New Delhi) from 2011 to 2014 at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, working on bioremediation of heavy metals using cyanobacterial strains. His research interests focus on environmental microbiology, pollutant impact on public health, bioremediation, and AI-based environmental restoration models. He has published over 50 research and review articles in high-impact journals, authored 10 book chapters, submitted 23 NCBI GenBank sequences, and holds 10 patents. Dr. Pant has supervised three Ph.D. and is currently guiding five Ph.D. students, while also serving as a topic editor and reviewer for reputed international journals.
