Dr. Kishan Singh Rawat is a distinguished academic and researcher holding dual Ph.D. degrees in Geo-informatics and Environmental Sciences, along with an M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS, M.Sc. in Geo-informatics, and M.Sc. in Physics. He currently serves as Professor and M.Tech (Geo-Informatics) Coordinator in the Dept. of Civil Engg. at GEU, Dehradun, and has over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy. His research interests include remote sensing and GIS applications in agriculture, hydrology and natural hazard analysis, and climate studies using Earth Observation data and machine learning. He has led and contributed to several nationally funded projects supported by DST-SERB, MoES, ISRO, UCOST, and industry partners.
Dr. Rawat has extensively supervised and mentored Ph.D., M.Tech, M.Sc., and undergraduate students in Civil Engineering (Geo-informatics). He has an outstanding research profile with over 90+ publications in reputed Scopus and WoS indexed journals and an h-index of 30 (Google Scholar).
