Mukesh Kumar is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Graphic Era (Deemed to be
University), Dehradun, India. He received Master of Philosophy Degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of
Technology, Roorkee, India, and a Ph.D. Degree from HNB Garhwal (a Central University), Srinagar, India. He has
teaching experience of more than 21 years. His fields of specialization are applied mathematics and Operations
Research. He has published more than 45 research papers in reputed journals and presented many papers in national and
international conferences. He has guided four Ph.D. Students in the field of operations research and Mathematical
modelling. He is also on the editorial board of many journals and a reviewer of many journals like Springer,
Inderscience, etc. He authored ten books, viz. “Engineering Mathematics for Semesters I and II” and “Engineering
Mathematics for Semesters III and IV” published with McGraw-Hill Education, and “Graph Theory and Combinatorics with
their Applications” published in Cambridge Scholars Publishing, London (U. K.), etc.
