


Assistant Professor Civil Engineering
Dr. Nitin Mishra earned his B.E. in Agricultural Engineering in 2002, M.Tech. in Irrigation Water Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2013 and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India in 2024, with research focused on Remote Sensing and GIS applications in Water Resources Engineering and Management.
Dr. Nitin Mishra has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, since 2013, and also holds the position of Faculty Advisor for the IWRS Student Chapter, Dehradun Centre. His prior experience includes roles as Assistant Professor and Coordinator in the Department of Civil Engineering, Guru Nanak Education Trust – Hermes College, Roorkee (2010–2011); Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Water Resources Development and Management, IIT Roorkee (2009–2010); Senior Project Officer and Team Leader for the Soil and Moisture Conservation Program at GRASSROOTS, Ranikhet, Uttarakhand (2007–2009); Project Officer for the Integrated Wasteland Development Program, Bhuranpur, Madhya Pradesh (2005–2007); and Junior Research Fellow at IIT Roorkee (2003–2005).
With over 22 years of experience in teaching and research, he has made significant contributions in the field of water resources and environmental engineering. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Saudi Journal of Civil Engineering (Scholars Middle East Publishers, Dubai, UAE) and is a member of several editorial boards and reviewer panels for reputed international and national journals as well as edited books. He has published nearly 81 research papers in peer-reviewed international and national journals and conferences, along with 21 book chapters.
