Dr. Piyush Kumar is a distinguished healthcare strategist, academic, and thought leader with over 18 years of experience spanning hospital leadership, healthcare consulting, and academia. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, he has led impactful initiatives across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Through his leadership roles in academic and healthcare institutions, he has been instrumental in advancing digital health innovation and strengthening healthcare systems.

He effectively bridges industry expertise with innovative academic perspectives, inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals and changemakers. A certified national-level assessor for the National Health Systems Resource Centre (under the Ministry of Health) and the Quality Accreditation Institute (QAI), he is also an independent consultant for JLL Healthcare (MENA) and Surge Consulting, and a mentor with Startup India MAARG, where he supports emerging healthcare entrepreneurs and startups.

He holds a Master’s degree in Health and Hospital Administration from IIHMR University and a Ph.D. in Management from Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan. His research interests focus on healthcare management and digital healthcare, with particular emphasis on the application of innovative tools and transformative technologies to improve healthcare delivery. Dr. Kumar’s scholarly work has been published in reputed, well-indexed journals, including those listed in Scopus and Web of Science. He is also the author of the book “Exploration of Transformative Technologies in Healthcare 6.0”. His expertise has been widely recognized, leading to invitations to speak at prestigious forums, including events hosted by the Ministry of Labor in Taiwan, CSR India, and the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), India.
