Dr. Pramod Rawat

Assistant Professor Biotechnology

Dr. Pramod Rawat works in the domain of biotechnology with a strong focus on Rhododendron arboreum phytochemical and its immunomodulatory activity against macrophage cell line, derived from tumor cells. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He earned his B. Sc. (CBZ) from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, and his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India

Dr. Pramod has dissertation training at the Indian Institute of Petroleum (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Laboratory) in Dehradun for the isolation of gas-forming anaerobic bacteria from soil samples. Working experience in Bisleri International Pvt. Delhi as a microbiologist & quality control of package drinking water as per Bureau of Indian Standards (IS: 14543:1998). Training experience at Pollution Control Research Institute (PCRI) on polluted waste water in B.H.E.L. Haridwar. Dr. Pramod has published more than 35 research publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and book chapters.

Dr. Pramod is actively involved in research supervision and funded projects. At present, he is supervising Ph.D. scholars and is working on 01 funded research project supported by Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST). He served as a reviewer for Scientific Reports.
