Dr. Rakesh Chandmal Sharma is working as a Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun India. He received M.Tech. from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 1998 and PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India in 2010. His research interests include vehicle dynamics, mechanical vibrations and machine design. He has 25 years of academic experience. Dr Sharma has published around 150 research publications in reputed international SCIE/ESCI/Web of Science Indexed journals. Dr Sharma is enlisted in top 2% scientists and researchers list provided by Stanford University/Scopus from last four years. He has 3600 Google citations with h-index 38, i-10 index of 96 and 2900 Scopus citations with h-index 34. Dr. Sharma is serving as Associate Editor and Member of Editorial board for International Journal of Vehicle Structures and Systems (Scopus indexed) since 2015. He has conducted several International Conferences as a Co-Convener/Joint Organizing Secretary in the past and published three Special Issues of the International Conferences as the Guest Editor of Scopus Indexed journal International Journal of Vehicle Structures and Systems. Dr. Sharma has Guided 1 PhD and 5 M. Tech candidates. Three Industrial design patents and two copyrights has been registered with him. He has contributed several chapters in books of Springer Nature publications. He has been awarded best paper award three times in National and International Publication. Dr. Sharma has represented the country in a couple of world congress on railway technology as member of editorial board held in Italy and Spain.
