Dr. Rakesh Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Earth Sciences at Graphic
Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. He obtained his Ph.D. in Seismotectonics from Wadia Institute of Himalayan
Geology in collaboration with HNB Garhwal University. He has over 5 years of teaching experience and significant
research exposure in earthquake science and geospatial technologies. His expertise includes seismic network
management, earthquake source characterization, crustal deformation studies using InSAR, and integrated
geological–geophysical investigations. He has also served as Head of the Department (2019–21) and worked as Senior
Research Fellow on MoES-sponsored projects.
