Dr. Royal Madan is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India, and an active design practitioner in the field of experimental mechanics and engineering system development. His academic and research interests include structural dynamics, finite element modeling, smart structures, and the thermo-mechanical and electromechanical behavior of beam and plate structures.

He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals, contributing to the advancement of experimental and numerical methodologies in vibration and structural response analysis. Alongside his scholarly publications, he has designed and protected several innovative laboratory-scale devices through design and utility patents. His work emphasizes compact, modular, and user-friendly experimental setups that effectively bridge theoretical research and practical laboratory implementation. Through his combined roles as a researcher, educator, and design practitioner, he continues to promote innovation-driven and application-oriented engineering solutions.
